1. How the Free IMEI Checker Works

The IMEI checker on FreeIMEICheck.pro runs entirely in your web browser using JavaScript. When you enter an IMEI number and click "Check IMEI":

• The Luhn checksum calculation happens locally on your device.
• The TAC lookup is performed against a reference table embedded in the page — no network request is made.
• The IMEI you enter is not included in any network request, URL parameter, or analytics event.
• The result appears in your browser without any data being sent to our servers.

We do not operate any server-side API for IMEI processing. There is no database where IMEI numbers from the free checker are stored.

2. Carrier Unlock Assistance Service

FreeIMEICheck.pro offers a paid carrier unlock assistance service at /unlock/. This service requires submitting personal information and processes a payment. The following applies specifically to this service:

Information collected when you submit an unlock request:

• Your name and email address (to communicate order status with you)
• Your device brand, model, and carrier
• Your full IMEI number (required to identify the specific device to your carrier)
• Optional notes you provide about your situation
• Your declarations regarding device ownership and eligibility
• The version of the Terms of Use you agreed to at submission

How your IMEI is handled in the unlock service:

• Your full IMEI is stored in our secure database and is used only for the purpose of processing your unlock request.
• Only the last 4 digits of your IMEI are included in email communications and system logs.
• Your full IMEI is visible only to authorized administrators of this service.
• Your IMEI is never transmitted to Stripe or included in any payment data.
• Your IMEI is not sold, rented, or shared with marketing services.

Payment processing:

Payments for the unlock assistance service are processed by Stripe. When you pay:

• You are redirected to Stripe's secure hosted checkout page. Your card details are entered directly on Stripe's servers — we never see, receive, or store your payment card number.
• Stripe confirms successful payment to our server via a cryptographically signed webhook. We verify this signature before recording any payment.
• Stripe's privacy policy governs how they handle your payment information.

Order records:

Order records (name, email, device information, IMEI, payment status, service status, and activity log) are retained for a minimum of 2 years to comply with legitimate business and legal obligations, including dispute resolution. You may contact us to request access to or deletion of your records; deletion requests are subject to any applicable legal retention requirements.

3. Information We Collect from All Visitors

We collect standard website analytics data that does not include the content of your IMEI check. This may include:

• Pages you visit on this site
• Approximate geographic region (country or city level), derived from your IP address
• Browser type and version
• Referring website (how you arrived at this site)
• Time and duration of your visit

This information is collected in aggregate and is used only to understand how visitors use the site so we can improve it.

4. Advertising (Google AdSense)

The free IMEI checker section of this site uses Google AdSense to display advertisements. Google may use cookies and similar technologies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites.

• Google AdSense may set cookies to serve targeted advertisements.
• You can opt out of personalised advertising at google.com/settings/ads.
• IMEI numbers you enter are not shared with Google AdSense or any advertiser.
• Unlock service pages do not display AdSense advertisements.

5. Cookies

This site sets a session cookie when you use the unlock request form. This cookie is used only to protect the form against cross-site request forgery (CSRF) and expires when you close your browser. It contains no personal information.

Third-party cookies may be set by Google AdSense on the free IMEI checker pages, as described above.

6. Your IMEI Number

Your IMEI number is sensitive information linked to your specific device. As described in Section 1, the free IMEI checker processes your IMEI entirely in your browser and does not transmit it anywhere. If you use the unlock assistance service, your IMEI is stored securely as described in Section 2.

You should be cautious about entering your IMEI on any website. Sites that claim to check blacklist, carrier lock, or Activation Lock status must connect to external databases — if you use such a service, review their privacy policy before proceeding.

7. Third-Party Links

This site contains links to third-party websites, including carrier check tools and Apple's coverage checker. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites. Review their privacy policies before using their services.

8. Data Retention and Deletion

Free checker visitors: no personal data is collected beyond standard server logs, which are retained for up to 90 days.

Unlock service customers: order records are retained for a minimum of 2 years as described in Section 2. To request access, correction, or deletion of your data, please contact us via the contact page with your order reference number.

9. Children

This site is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect information from children. The unlock assistance service requires agreement to our Terms of Use and is intended for adults who own the device being submitted.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date. For unlock service customers, material changes affecting how we handle your data will be communicated by email.
